His key strategy is to consistently target the army chief, pushing him to be defensive rather than aggressive.

If you had cared to read what the article says, you wouldn’t have acted like a brain-dead fool. The article is giving a summary of the two positions, one of Imran and the other of the COAS. The article mentions how much more problematic the political field shall become because of this confrontation. The article leaven the outcome open to all manner of possibilities.
