Israel's objectives in Iran include regime change promoting political chaos to enable 'alternatives' to emerge, use the 'new liberated Iran' to seek diplomatic recognition that develops into more diplomatic recognitions from the ME and beyond, establish supreme military superiority in the region, and ensure that the fall out of its attacks, US attacks and the Iran's reaction to it all in the region shakes, internally disrupts and retards countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar who are on the path to spectacular economic progress. No Arab/Muslim country can be allowed to become an economic powerhouse. This is one of Israel's many core bottom lines.

The US shares most of these objectives plus the fact that chaos in this part of the world economically hurts China because of its imported energy reliance, radicalised religious sentiments that would create local conflicts that would boost weapons sales and unleash Islamic resistance groups that it can manipulate to its advantage against China or perhaps even Russia.
