What a marvellous piece, proving once again the triumph of the written word over other forms of communication.

Orwell’s dystopian world had two distinct traits: depriving words of their true meaning (Ministry of Love), and curbing dissent through force(Winston Smith’s “two plus two equals five “). You are quite right that we’re living it now. Most of the lofty words are being stripped of their real meanings. Here scoundrels are now called saints, ruffians are labelled as revolutionaries, slanderers are considered opinion makers, hoaxers are identified as freedom fighters, and charlatans masquerade as law lords. Fake news and hate speech defines (or destroys) political discourse. The world that the project managers built for the nation!
